Good Girl, Bad Period is a collection of stories breaking the silence on misogyny and gaslighting through the lens of Endometriosis.
Along with curricular commentary and narration guided by Silvia Young, the anthology projects a snapshot in time with over 80 stories of vast lived experiences at the forefront to nurture conversation, community, critical thinking, and a generation embarking on patient-centered solutions.
Providing an authentic perspective from the inside, Good Girl, Bad Period promotes intersectional feminism, and a sense of cultural, historical, and personal identity by providing a curricular storytelling experience that’s inclusive.
The counter-narrative will also call attention to over 50 of history’s most prominent women writers and organizers whose work attests to the themes this book intends to destigmatise, proving just how much history repeats itself under a patriarchal system.
More than 80 contributors across four continents, 13 countries, and 22 states represent not only 200 million people with endometriosis, but also billions more trying to access healthcare globally.
A percentage of book royalties will be donated to FemTruth Youth, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Must read
I had written a small part of my journey with endo for this book, finally got my copy about two weeks ago, and I’m loving it so far. I’m a slow reader but I’m loving it so far and definitely recommend to everyone!

Inspiring
I bought this because my story is featured in it, but reading other peoples stories and learning how other people deal with their fight of being diagnosed and how they cope with the symptoms and pain of endometriosis, is brave and empowering. I’ve smiled at stories and cried at stories, this really is a book for anyone who suffers, knows someone, thinks they have or wants to learn more about endometriosis.

Thank you for highlighting the stories
I finally got a physical copy. As an advocate for women who suffer in silence, this book highlights the challenges facing women around the world. It is inspiring to read stories of women who have bravely shared experiences of being dismissed as being crazy and often denied access to proper medical care. Thank you 🙏🏽 so much Silvia…behind you all the way #SpreadTheYellow

My personal story is in here
This book contains my personal story with my battles with endometriosis. I am really excited to read what others have shared , and my hopes is that this book gets out there so woman from all around can read it and not feel so alone , and men can read it as well so they can relate a little better and have a new understanding of what a lot of us are going through.
