Complementary therapies for menopause – what is the evidence?

A discussion of the evidence for complementary therapies used in management of the symptoms of menopause.

Dr Tamara Nation will guide a discussion focused on:

  • hormonal changes that occur during menopause
  • symptoms that can be experienced during menopause
  • evidence base for complementary therapies suggested for menopause.

About the presenter

Dr. Tamara Nation is a highly skilled general practitioner with a deep commitment to holistic and integrative medicine. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and is recognised as having extended skills in Integrative Medicine. Dr. Nation specializes in providing personalised, patient-centered care that blends conventional and evidence-based natural therapies. Her approach is grounded in the belief that good health is essential for a fulfilled life, and that each individual’s health journey is unique. Dr Tamara Nation has a special interest in women’s health, particularly menopause and perimenopause.

She is a member of the Australian Menopause Society, is an educator and examiner for the RACGP and was awarded the 2021 Brighthope Scholarship for Environmental and Nutritional Medicine. With a passion for integrating traditional, lifestyle, and complementary medicine, she is dedicated to helping individuals take control of their health through holistic, innovative care.
